Course Verification Forms for 2024-2025 School Year

Students were issued Course Request Verification Forms in homeroom during the ROAR on April 12. The purpose of the course verification form is to provide you with a copy of the course requests that have been entered for your student for the 2024-2025 school year. The process of entering course requests is very detailed, and inevitably clerical / data entry errors are going to be made. Therefore, it is important for you to take this opportunity to review the requests that have been entered for your student for accuracy before the master schedule for the school, which includes every student’s individual schedule, is finalized. Verification Forms will also be issued to rising 9th grade students (current 8th grade students) at Peachtree Middle School. In addition to the verification form, there is a separate sheet with guidance on the meanings of different course codes on the form.

If you do not wish to make any changes, you do not have to return the verification form.

If you wish to make changes, please indicate the changes on the form, sign the form, and return it to the main office by the end of the school day on Friday, April 19.

We will not accept change requests made in person, by phone call, by voicemail, nor by email. Changes must be submitted on a signed and returned verification form by the deadline.

If you did not receive a Course Request Verification Form, please contact your counselor.

GA Milestones/End of Course (EOC) assessments

As we approach the end of the semester, it is time to administer the GA Milestones/End of Course (EOC) assessments.  Course content EOC assessments will be administered April 17 - 26, 2024, to students enrolled in American Literature, Biology, Algebra C&C, and/or US History.  All students enrolled in any of these 4 courses are required to take the EOC.  The EOC is worth 20% of the overall class average.  Ensure your student gets a good night's sleep, eats a protein rich breakfast, and arrives to school on time.  ALL testing will begin at 8:05 am EVERYDAY.  Students should be prepared with a FULLY CHARGED DCSD issued Chromebook.

Students will need to log in using the Gale password, and then they will be prompted to create their own account. Once a student has created their account, they can then access the practice tests & even self-paced guided study.

Please stop by the Library Media Center for the password. (Hint: It's a Gale database, so it uses the Gale password!)
