Cell Phone Usage & Texting 2024-2025

There are very few major changes at DHS and DeKalb County this year, but there is one new mandatory initiative that will allow our staff and students to maximize learning, focus, and growth “Disconnect to Reconnect.”

At Dunwoody High School this year, and across the County, we are celebrating a new cell phone policy.  Students must adhere to the following expectations:

  • CELL PHONES CAN ONLY BE USED BETWEEN CLASSES, DURING LUNCH, AND DURING THE ROAR (after the Dunwoody READS segment).  Any student who uses a cell phone at ANY OTHER TIME is subject to “refusal to follow instructions,” “improper use of technology,” or other referral/detention consequences.

There are no exceptions.

Thank you all in advance for your support of an initiative that will allow your student to avoid distractions and focus on connecting to the work, other students, and our staff.

It’s a great time to be a DUNWOODY WILDCAT!!

Let’s Disconnect to Reconnect …

Let’s go!!!
